01 / THE QUESTION

It starts with
“how?”

How does a machine learn?
What makes a product feel effortless?
Why do some stories stay with us?

02 / THE CONNECTIONS

Follow it
all the way in.

Technology leads to people. History leads to choices. A credit card leads to a question about incentives. I like following the connections.

03 / THE PERSON

All of that.
A little of me.

I’m Shashan. Credit strategy is my work. Curiosity is how I approach it—and pretty much everything else.

A MIND THAT LIKES TO WANDER

Always asking
“how does that work?”

ABOUT ME

I’m product-minded: I like understanding how things work, why people choose them, and what makes them useful. That curiosity connects my credit strategy work with my interests in AI, new technology, stocks, and credit card offers. Beyond that, there’s history, geography, space, renewable energy, good food—and learning to snowboard.

01 / THE WORK

Where curiosity
becomes useful.

From customer-level signals to portfolio-wide choices, I connect the details to the business outcome.

Selected results from my professional experience. Context and scope are included in each project.

THE APPROACH

Good questions.
Better decisions.

I bring a commercial lens to technical work: understand the economics, test the assumptions, and make the next action clear.

  1. 01

    Start with the business question.

Define what matters: profitable growth, customer behavior, pricing, or execution.

  2. 02

Find the signal. Test the tradeoffs.

Connect segmentation, financial modeling, and experimentation to a decision.

  3. 03

Make it useful. Make it repeatable.

Work across Finance, Marketing, Risk, and technology teams to turn analysis into action.

02 / THE STORY

A path shaped
by learning.

Before I was building credit strategies, I was building a business.

I co-founded a merchandising venture while studying engineering, then worked across channel management, product strategy, and data science. Today, that perspective shapes my work at Credit One Bank: connect the analysis to the economics, and the economics to execution.

04 / THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE PERSON

My greatest support
isn’t on my résumé.

My wife, my parents, and my friends are a huge part of who I am. A page about my work and my interests would be incomplete without them.

MY WIFE

Always in my corner.

My wife’s support means more to me than a list of accomplishments could show. As I explore new ideas, take on challenges, and figure out what comes next, knowing she is beside me makes a real difference.

A proud husband
MY PARENTS

Where the story begins.

Both my parents have helped shape the person I am. Their influence is part of how I approach life, learning, and the people around me. Whatever I go on to build, they will always be part of its foundation.

MY FRIENDS

Life is better shared.

My close friends are part of my support system, too. I’m grateful for their place in my life. The people who stand beside you matter just as much as the direction you’re heading.

This part is the most important one. — Shashan
